The Manipuri style of Tibetan singing bowls is typical for the northeastern region of India where the Indian state of Manipur is located. Singing bowls of a similar style are also made in the neighboring state of Assam. The main characteristic of these bowls is their small height compared to the classic Jambati style bowls. The bowls are lower and their sound is therefore more open and penetrates well into the space. The bowls in Manipuri series are solely hand forged.
