Chakras and frequencies

Chakras and frequencies

432 Hz, the magic number about which much has been said. There are many different conclusions and interesting information that explain the validity of this number when tuning and then assigning frequencies to tones. In the table below you will find the frequencies in octaves in which 432 Hz is used as the starting tuning from which all other frequencies and tones are derived. Currently, tuning according to A4 = 440 Hz is used. It is a modern frequency and has only been around for the last few decades. Even classical music was not always composed according to this tuning. 432 Hz tuning has been intuitively used as a default tuning for millennia. Ancient instruments such as flutes and monochords used 432 Hz as a starting tuning.
Even the well-known healing frequency of 528 hz loses its meaning while maintaining the 432 Hz tuning. The frequency of 528 Hz is calculated as 1.2 times the A=440 Hz. However, when tuning to 432 Hz, it is only 518.4 Hz or when calculating the so-called "432 Hz equal tempered scale", which we also use on our website, is the note C5, i.e. 513.74 Hz.

The rationale for 432 Hz tuning is also indirectly supported by the alpha level of our brain. It is the frequency where the human brain is in a natural and calm state. You can read more in the Vibrations of bowls and Alpha waves section. The alpha level works at a frequency of approximately 8 Hz. 8Hz is also the frequency that has been measured between the Earth's crust and the ionosphere. It is probably no coincidence that the multiples of this frequency 64Hz, 128Hz, 256Hz lead us directly to this starting frequency of 432Hz. Also, when tuning to 440 Hz, the frequencies do not have exact values, but go to infinity, such as 733.33.....Hz

Chakras tone assignment

The information we have available about the chakras and their relationship to musical notes all suggest the same thing. Tone C represents the Root Chakra, Tone D the Sacral Chakra, Tone E the Solar Plexus Chakra, Tone F the Heart Chakra, Tone G the Throat Chakra, Tone A the Third Eye Chakra, Tone B the Crown Chakra. Using A4 = 432 Hz tuning, we match the frequencies of each bowl to a certain tone and thus to the chakra it represents. For example, the notes C have the following frequencies successively in octaves: 16Hz, 32Hz, 64Hz, 128Hz, 256Hz, etc. We classify bowls playing frequencies close to these frequencies to the root chakra.

Chakras and the color spectrum

An interesting fact that supports this parallel between colors, chakras and frequencies is the visible color spectrum. The visible spectrum of colors, i.e. the spectrum that we as humans are able to see, is almost exactly expressed by one musical octave. Visual octave from approximately 513 Hz to 969 Hz, where, using a simple formula, the wavelength of the visible electromagnetic spectrum from the end of the infrared spectrum to the beginning of the ultraviolet spectrum corresponds quite precisely with the human eye's visible wavelengths of light from 390nm to 730nm - see pictures.
