There are several subcategories of ancient Himalayan bowls. The most classic is Jambati, according to the shape of which new Tibetan bowls are also made. In this category you will find less common bowls of the Thadobati type and also Remuna, which will be mentioned in the description of the bowl and with the characteristic features of these subcategories. The composition and processing of these bowls is different from the classic newer bowls, which can also be heard in the audio samples. Some older bowls, for example, can play deeper frequencies even with a much lower weight. The decoration of these is rather modest and simple, mostly concentric circles on the bottom of the bowl, or straight lines or fine point engraving on the outer edge in one or more rows, which are often irregular or imperfect.
